Bruin 5K Brings Runners, Families and Community Together

Get ready to run, walk and cheer! The Bartlesville Public Schools Foundation Bruin 5K and Fun Run returns Saturday, October 10, bringing together BPS students, staff, families and community members for a morning of fun and Bruin spirit.

The Bruin 5K begins at 9:00 a.m., followed by the Fun Run. Come out, show your Bruin pride and help us cheer on our runners as they make their way through the course!

The race is also a special day for our Bruins on the Run participants. Fifth graders from all six BPS elementary schools have spent the fall training alongside their teacher mentors, building confidence, setting goals and preparing for race day. The Bruin 5K marks the culmination of their fall season and gives the community a chance to celebrate all they have accomplished.

Packet Pick-Up

Packet pick-up will be held Thursday, October 8, from 4:30–7:00 p.m. at the Bartlesville High School Agriculture Center, 1800 S. Shawnee Ave.

Race Day Road Closure & Parking

Participants and spectators should plan ahead for a road closure Saturday morning. The section of Baylor Drive in front of Madison Middle School will be closed until after the Fun Run is complete.

Parking will not be available at Hoover Elementary or in the Madison Middle School parking lots. Parking will be available just east of Madison Middle School. Those approaching from Baylor Drive will need to use Crestland Drive and Cornell Drive to drive around the closure and access the parking area.

Please allow a little extra time to park and make your way to the race area.

Whether you are running, walking, volunteering or cheering from the sidelines, we hope you’ll join us for a great morning celebrating our schools, our students and our community at the Bruin 5K!
