BPS Foundation Launches Alumni Association

The Bartlesville Public Schools Foundation (BPSF) just launched its new program, the Bartlesville Alumni Association.  The program is designed to provide an opportunity for BPS alumni to reconnect with each other and re-engage with Bartlesville Public Schools – whether alumni identify as Bartlesville Bruins, Col-High Wildcats, Sooner Spartans, or Douglass Dragons.

Through the Association, all Bartlesville alumni, supporters, and community members will be able to stay connected, receiving updates on BPS news, alumni highlights, and reunions; as well as information on special events, and mentoring and volunteer opportunities. An alumni directory will allow alumni to reconnect with fellow classmates.

“Creating an alumni association has been something the Bartlesville Public Schools Foundation and Bartlesville Public Schools have wanted to do for several years.  There is so much potential to make meaningful connections among our alumni, but also between alumni and current Bartlesville students who may want to follow in an alum’s footsteps to a particular college or into a particular career,” explained BPSF executive director Blair Ellis.  “We recognize that many classes have active alumni groups and we encourage those groups to keep doing all that they do.  We see our role as supporting those classes and highlighting their efforts, as well as providing support and serving as a resource for classes without organized or established groups.”

“Bartlesville Public Schools has tens of thousands of alumni living all across the world, doing amazing things, and representing our schools well. The District is grateful to have the Bartlesville Alumni Association to highlight those alumni and our award-winning public schools; and keep those alumni connected to each other and engaged with our community,” stated Chuck McCauley, Superintendent of Bartlesville Public Schools.  “We look forward to welcoming alumni back to the District, whether it’s as a supporter, volunteer, employee, or mentor.”

Joining the Bartlesville Alumni Association is free, but members have the opportunity to make a financial contribution that brings exclusive benefits like spirit wear discounts, teacher grants issued in their names, and tickets to sporting events and fine arts performances. Contributions to the Bartlesville Alumni Association benefit programs of the Bartlesville Public Schools Foundation.

Bartlesville Public Schools alumni, friends, and supporters are encouraged to join the network, update their profile, and explore the available resources. For more information visit www.bpsalumni.nationbuilder.com or follow the Bartlesville Alumni Association on Facebook: @bartlesvillealumni
